£37.50 inc VAT

A cosmic circular creation of cotton cloth with intricate Shipibo embroidered designs based on their ayahuasca-inspired medicine songs.

No two patterns are exactly alike and all are entrancing. Large enough to be used as a small mesa or altar cloth or as an overlay for your sacred space.

Or sew these artistic expressions on the back of a jacket, handbag or tee and infuse your own creations with the spirit of the Shipibo.

Diametre – 17cm

There are also Icaros, in the ancient language of the Shipibo people. An Icaro is a shamanic power song learned from an elder shaman or spirits. They are used to communicate with the spirits of the natural world, to heal the sick, and to actually provoke certain kinds of visual displays or visions in those intoxicated with ayahuasca.

The most important of these songs are those learned from the spirits themselves or those received in the dream visions which can follow an ayahuasca session .No two pieces are ever alike, they are all completely unique.

These items are completely handmade by a family of the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon jungle of Peru. The items they make are always of high quality and completely unique. I am committed to giving more than a fair trade price for each item made. This is a great way for us all to support the indigenous communities of the world whilst providing a way for tribes to hold onto their traditions.
