Black Aya Ceremony Trousers | Unisex

These handmade trousers have the Shipibo patterns along with the traditional Peruvian style embroidery on the pockets.

The Shipibo see and hear these geometric patterns during Ayahuasca ceremonies, and reproduce the designs on their clothing and paint them on their houses and boats. The Shipibo believe the patterns are healing on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels.

Every design carries its own specific meaning. For example, to bring healing, wisdom, protection or to attract abundance.
These ‘artful prayers’ can be sung by the Shipibo because each design also functions as a musical score, called an ‘Icaro’.

The design element and the ‘Icaro’ operate cohesively to carry the power of the healing or blessing.

They are so comfortable to wear and the material is of the highest quality. You will really be able to tell the high quality work that has gone into these clothes!

The trousers are unisex and look great on men and women.

Due to the handmade nature the colours of the pockets will vary!

They are available in Black & White or Black & Stone in sizes Small, Medium and Large

Small leg length – 89cm | 24cm to 45cm waist
Medium – 94cm leg | 24cm up to 52cm waist
Large – 97cm | 29cm up to 58cm waist

The waist is elasticated so will easily expand to fit the wears body shape.

The trousers are designed to sit either on the ankle bone or further up the leg depending on the person’s size.

The female model is wearing a small size (height – 5’4.5) and the male model is wearing a large (height – 6’1″)
